Is this headache or migraine?

I am a 28-year-old Spinster who has been having headaches for the past 5 years without much improvement. This was why my father took me to a Specialist doctor who placed me on some drugs which solved my problem. Kindly let me know the difference between a headache and migraine.

Although headaches generally affect the whole head, and respond to common headache tablets, migraines are periodic, one-sided throbbing headaches which usually begin in childhood, adolescence or early adult life and usually recur with diminishing frequency during advancing years. Migraine presents such a dramatic and at times confusing sequence of events. Usually, there is a disturbance of vision consisting usually of bright spots or dazzling zigzag lines. Just as soon as they come, they soon begin to recede and within minutes they are followed by throbbing headache, usually one-sided which slowly increases in intensity. At its peak, in an hour or so, nausea and vomiting may occur. The headache lasts hours or a day or two and is usually the most unpleasant feature of the illness.
