Is this epilepsy?

Published by

My neighbour’s teenage son sometimes goes into seizures and convulsions with saliva dripping from his mouth while he sometimes passes urine and faeces. I want to know if this is epilepsy and whether I should look for another house so as not to catch the disease.

What you described sounds like epilepsy. Fortunately, contrary to popular perception, the disease is not contagious. All that is necessary is for the patient to get adequate medical attention. Although not curable, the treatment is very cheap and effective against future seizures and convulsions.
