Ask the Doctor

Is this a drug reaction?

Published by

I have a friend who is on HIV medication. She used to take her drugs two times a day. Now the doctor changed it to once a day. Since then, my friend has been having runny stomach and general body weakness. I want to know if this problem is from the drug and if so, what she should do about it?

It certainly looks like a drug reaction. The single dosage medication may be too strong for your friend. The solution is for her to go back to the doctor who will adjust the medication for her until she gets the kind of drug suitable to her body and her ailment.
