Is there any harm in being fat?

Published by

I am a 22 year old male undergraduate weighing over 90 kg. My friends and family want me to slim down because they think being fat can be dangerous. However, I don’t think I have any problem since I can carry myself. Kindly educate me if it is true that being fat can harmful.

Ninety kilograms is certainly too much weight for you. To know the effect of too much weight on the body, pick up a 50 kg bag of rice and carry it for 10 minutes. You will soon feel the strain. It’s exactly the same way your body carries such a weight which puts a strain on your heart, your joints, and more.  Shedding your 90 kg weight can end joint pain, reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke, boost your energy, and protect you against more than 50 chronic illnesses, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers.
