Imo: Police launch manhunt for kidnappers of NAN journalist

Imo State Police Command has launched a manhunt to rescue a kidnapped journalist, Gregory Madu, who works with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Owerri.

According to the police, Madu was kidnapped on Thursday at Irete in Owerri West council area, where he had gone to inspect land. The kidnappers are reportedly demanding an undisclosed ransom for Madu’s release.

The police are urging the public to cooperate and assist in arresting the kidnappers and rescuing Madu.

The Imo State Police Command is working with the anti-kidnapping division to investigate the incident and ensure Madu’s safe return.

The police have assured that they are working tirelessly to rescue Madu and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of journalists in the state, and the police have promised to do everything possible to ensure their protection.
