The International Advertising Association (IAA) has announced that this year’s edition of its continental conference, Africa Rising 4, billed to hold this week, is conceptualised to further project African brands to the world and bring together the best on the continent.
The association, in a statement, signed by the president of its Nigerian Chapter, Mr. Tunji Olugbodi, added that it has also concluded arrangements to feature prominent experts within and outside Africa to speak on the theme of the event and share their experiences working on brands in Africa.
He explained that the theme of the conference had become imperative considering the current state of the global economy and the need to project true African brands and their relevance as ‘the engine of economic revival in Africa’.
Meanwhile, the brochure released by the organisers indicated that this year’s conference will have its thematic focus woven around issues such as: strong African brands living beyond the boundaries to become global icons, economic prospects through varying nations (AfCFTA), creativity and the arts within the context of the rich characteristics of Africa and technology and the digital evolution, among others.
Commenting on the proposed focused areas and how the previous editions of the conference had impacted the industry and the market, Olugbodi stated that “IAA Africa Rising is African region’s most anticipated MarCom conference that brings together the very best in the industry over a two-day period to deliberate on topics propelling the industry and find new ways to uplift the industry on the continent.”
