Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Taiwo Hassan Aderinoye popularly known as Snoweezy, I am an Afro-Versa Artiste and I love to catch cruises.
In two sentences, describe your music style
My music style is Afro-Versa. It’s unique and it’s a sound that passes through all genres of music in Africa
What message do you think your music communicates to listeners?
My sounds talk about, Motivation, it gives hope and it talks about having fun and catching cruise because of YOLO.
Your latest Album “Imperfection” has been gaining traction online, how does it feel like? Where would you like to see your music in the nearest future?
Thanks to God and Hard Work for that, I feel good to see my fanbase expands and the acceptance of imperfection was awesome. I’d like to see my music topping world charts and billboards.
Do you write your songs? In case you do, how long does it take you to finish the songs for Imperfection?
Fun fact; out of all the songs I’ve released, Dreams Turn Reality and Holywater are the only songs I wrote before recording them.
Every other song was recorded freely from vibes in the studio at the time of recording. It took me a whole week to record all the songs on IMPERFECTION. That’s why I titled it IMPERFECTION.
Aside from the writing of the songs on the album, how long did it take you to finish the production?
Like I said earlier it took me a whole week to record IMPERFECTION, but the production took like two weeks.
How did you get inspiration for your songs?
I get inspired by the mood I find myself before recording and also the vibes at the studio at the time of recording.
Have you featured any upstream artiste? What was the experience like?
I’ve worked with quite a few upstream artists with the likes of Mohbad, Diamond Jimma, Bella Shmurda and Otega. Looking to work with more creatives this year.
What is music to you?
Music is life, music is the weapon, music makes the world more fun.
Although this is funny, we will like to ask anyway. If you are offered $250 million to give up your music career, what will you do?
Hmm, since it’s just to stop music as a career, it’s not a big deal. I’d stop music as a career to get the $250 million but I’d still be around the entertainment industry.
If you had not been into music, what would you have been doing?
I’d still be around the entertainment industry.
What are the biggest challenges you’ve encountered in trying to land a big artiste to feature?
The biggest and ever biggest challenge is finance, as in, financial challenge.
Have you tried collaborating with an artiste and was unsuccessful? What is the name of the artiste? What do you think could be the reason for the failure to secure the artiste?
In 2019 I tried collaborating with 9ice but it was unsuccessful due to not being able to come up with his charges.
Are your parents supportive of the decision to become a musician?
At first, they didn’t want me to do music, especially my dad but in the long run, when he noticed my zeal and passion, he had no other choice than to give me his full support.
If you have all the power to change Nigeria’s creative industry, what are the things you will change?
I will change a lot that I can’t even start mentioning here. Let’s wait till I have such power.
