I am losing my voice

Published by

I am in my 70s and in good health. However, I noticed that the volume of my voice has gradually been going down for the last two months. I have no sore throat or cough. Please help.

A gradual loss of voice can be caused by many factors ranging from a common cold, voice overuse, allergies to viral and bacteria infections as well as the condition of your Thyroid gland.  In addition at your age, there is the need to rule out cancer of the throat or voice box. In this regards, a proper examination by a medical expert such as an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon will be highly suggested.
