Honour for Elegushi, Gbajabiamila, Fasola

‘NO person has ever been honoured for what he received, honour has been the reward of what he gave’ acting on this premise by Calvin Coolidge stirred the Lagos State University as it confers Honorary Doctorate Degrees on Oba Saheed Elegushi, Femi Gbajabiamila, Babatunde Fasola, Adejoke Orelope and Pastor Kayode Olukoya.

The ceremony will take place on the 22nd of June, 2023 as part of activities for the 26th Convocation of the foremost institution.

The Vice Chancellor of the University , Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, stated that Oba Elegushi and other eminent Nigerians are being honoured for their contributions to the development of the university and humanity in general, through various initiatives and interventions.

The VC noted that the university is celebrating its 40 years of establishment and it is a good time to honour individuals who have contributed largely to the growth of the institution.

Oba Elegushi is known to have graduated from the Lagos State University. He studied Economics and does not stop to boast that his leadership skills and knowledge came from his experience and all he learnt from the Lagos State University.
