High Society mourns Otunba Subomi Balogun

you will be on our mind forever and always’   was the first statement that occupied the condolence register at the Ijebu-Ode home of the founder of the First City Monument Bank, Otunba Subomi Balogun by one of the early callers that visited the family after the news of his death broke out.

The financial guru, an accomplished businessman, philanthropist answered his creator some days ago in the United Kingdom at the ripe age of 89 opening a ceaseless outpour of wishes, prayers and remarks from friends, associates and families all over the world.

Condolence messages from President Muhammadu Buhari, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Governors, Ministers, Senators and other eminent people all filled the social space as they recounted encounters and memories of the late Crown counsel and the Olori Omooba of Ijebuland.

A direct descendant of Oba Tunwase of Ijebu-Ode, Otunba Subomi Balogun lived an exemplary life that many cannot stop talking about and this in no small measure hits the social circle.
