Group aims to strengthen ties between Israel and Nigeria

A group, I Stand With Israel, has restated its commitment to strengthening the ties between Israel and Nigeria.

This was the highlight of the inauguration of the Lagos chapter of the group, at Ibis International Hotel Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the national coordinator, Reverend Rex Ajenifuja, stated that the vision of the group was to strengthen ties between Nigeria and Israel in every area of endeavour that would benefit both nations.

He noted that the principal focus of the group was education, reaching out to churches and student groups on campuses with programmes to promote better understanding of Israel’s past, present from both biblical and historical perspective and to bring the two communities together in expression of solidarity.

At the inauguration conducted by the national coordinator were chairman, Lagos chapter, Dr Moses Timothy; his assistant, Reverend Cletus Christopher; general secretary, Pastor Chibuike Ndubuisi Kenneth; director of programmes, Mr Billy Tokunbo King; director of youth, Mr Fredrick Ezenwa Ibeako; director of welfare, Mrs Okeagu Chioma Confidence, and the director of publicity, Mr Tunde Lewis.
