Grind my teeth when sleeping

I am a 20 -year old undergraduate.  My roommates have been complaining that I have been grinding my teeth while sleeping for the past few weeks. I will appreciate it if you can let me know what is causing this bad habit and how I can stop it.

Nighttime teeth-grinding (bruxism) a common occurrence, is often linked to stress and anxiety, sleep problems like snoring and sleep apnoea, poor dental hygiene as well as the use of certain medications such as antidepressants. You will need to reduce stress and tension around you.  Listening to music, taking a warm bath or exercising can help you relax and may reduce your bruxism. You should also avoid taking any stimulants such as coffee or alcohol late in the evenings. A regular dental examination should also be a good idea.
