Gov Ishaku determined to lift Taraba amongst top revenue producing states

Taraba State Commissioner for work, Hon. Irimiya Haman Jude, on Friday, said the rural and urban road network being constructed in the state was governor Ishaku’s determination to lifting Taraba amongst the top revenue-producing states in Nigeria.

Jude disclosed this while briefing journalist at NUJ house Jalingo explained that over 600km road network is being undertaken by the governor since 2015.

According to him, the idea was to encourage the local agricultural produce and boost the economic and revenue status of Taraba that had been hampered due to poor access road network.

The commissioner noted that Taraba State been an agrarian state is capable of changing the economic and revenue status of Nigeria through agro produce and is required to have enough access road network linking the areas.

“The massive road construction embarked by the Taraba State government is governor Darius Ishaku’s determination to ensure Taraba become one of the top revenue-producing states in Nigeria.

“We believe that we will get enough from agro produce if road linking is properly done.

“We have constructed so far over 600kms of roads, we are going to do more and all these roads would be completed and commissioned before the end of the administration,” the commissioner assured.
