Ganduje to find solution to Almajiri phenomenon in Kano

KANO State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that the state government would collaborate with bodies concerned with tsangaya Islamic system of education, to find a needful  solution to the Almajiri phenomenon in the State and address the challenges imposed by the system

This is just as he said his administration would continue to come up with new policies and Programmes aimed at improving the System of Qur’aic education in the State.
The Governor disclosed this at the graduation ceremony of 520 Students from Sheik Muhammadu Rabi’u Tahfeezul Qur’an held at the School premises, Gadon Kaya, Kano.
Speaking on his behalf, his deputy, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna said recently the administration had inaugurated its programme on free basic and secondary education and tsangaya Islamic system of education to allow children in the State enjoy free education policy.
” This policy is a welcome development that affects everybody in the State which needs our support as good citizens of the State especially the issue of Almjiri system education.

His words, “Government provides all that is needed to improve the system of Qur’anic Education, stressing that…” a good foundation has also been laid for our Students of Qur’anic education to acquire western education at the same time “.

Dr. Ganduje, therefore, urged Parents and Tsangaya Teachers in the State to give their maximum support and cooperation towards achieving the best result in view of the importance of the programme.

While congratulating the management of Sheik Muhammadu Rabi’u Tahfeezul Qur’an for the successful conduct of the  3rd graduation ceremony of 520 Students on Qur’anic memorization, Dr. Ganduje praised the family of Sheik Isyaka Rabi’u for the continuation of all the laudable Islamic Programmes initiated by their Father.

To the Graduants, the Governor urged them to make the judicious use of the knowledge they have acquired in the propagation of their religion as obtained in the Holy Qur’an.

Earlier, one of the families of late Sheik Khalifa Isyaka Rabi’u, Alhaji Rabi’u Isyaka Rabi’u explained that since the demise of their late Father, Sheik Muhammadu Rabi’u Islamic Foundation International has been executing sound islamic programmes within and outside the State for the benefit of Muslim Ummah.

He acknowledged with appreciation the immense supports and contributions given by the administration of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to the development of the centre at all times.
