Ganduje says era of inconclusive election over in Kano

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State while inaugurating All Progressives Congress (APC) Registration/Revalidation Exercise committees in the state assured that the era of inconclusive election was over.

The state committees were inaugurated during Stakeholders Meeting on the exercise held at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

This was just as Ganduje received a 7-man committee sent from the national headquarters of the party led by Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Matazu, who commended the administration of Ganduje for being committed to the exercise.

According to him, “Kano State is the largest democracy in the country. Looking at the population and number of elected people in different positions. We have 24 members in the House of Representatives, 44 local government chairmen, 484 elected councillors from our wards, APC has 30 members of the State Assembly, while PDP has 10 members etc.

“We will do our best to see that we register more people in this exercise. We are giving out all the materials for the exercise tomorrow, for the 44 local governments across the state.

“As you are all aware, we have committees for this registration/revalidation exercise at all levels – state, local government and ward levels,” he explained.

Governor Ganduje called on all his aides and all other political appointees to make sure that they register along with their families, emphasising that, “being the most populous state in the federation, we need to prove that in this exercise. This is absolutely necessary.

“As we are distributing materials for the exercise, we will, also, at the same time, give out facemasks, hand sanitisers, and other materials used in fighting this pandemic.”
