An explosion leading to a huge inferno has rocked a building close to Rumuagholu/Rumuokoro along the east-west road, in Ohio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
An eyewitness account has it that the fire was caused by an explosion from a surface tank used to store petroleum products believed to be byproducts from illegal bunkering popularly called kpo fire in Rivers State.
The eyewitness who gave his name as Martins said the fire happened inside the premises of an event multipurpose hall, Apex Multipurpose Hall adding that the fire later spread into an incompleted building also used as a rice warehouse.
He confirmed that there was no casualty recorded as no one was on the premises.
