Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi has advised Nigerian students to work hard for the attainment of good academic performance.
He gave the advice at the matriculation ceremony for the newly admitted 3,500 students for the 2020/2021 academic session.
Dr. Dzukogi reiterated the Institution’s zero tolerance for indecent dressing, examination malpractice and other social vices, warned students against actions that are detrimental to their studies and the overall development of the Institution.
The Rector said the school management is doing everything humanly possible to make the learning and teaching environment conducive for both students and staff, adding that good academic performance is a direct output of hardworking students and a conducive learning atmosphere.
Dr A. A. Dzukogi thereby commended the National Assembly, Abuja for its recent efforts towards addressing the dichotomy between Higher National Diploma and Degree holders in the country, stressing, that it will go a long way in addressing the imbalance between the two programmes, especially in career progression.
Meanwhile, in separate interviews with some of the matriculating students, they expressed happiness, gratitude to God and promised to be of good conduct.
