FCE matriculates 92 students into 19 courses

THE Federal College of Education (FCE) has matriculated 92 students into 19 courses for its Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and Professional Diploma in Education (PDE).

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony held in Lagos, the college provost, Dr Wahab Azeez enlightened the matriculates on the fact that the matriculation was a pathway to their academic career and development.

Wahab assured that the school’s academic and non-academic staff were well-trained and qualified to pass the required knowledge, training, skills and character needed, adding that the college had remained focused for a long time.

“The College has remained focused and committed to the philosophy and values upon which it was established in 1967; to produce qualitative science, technical, business and vocational education graduates who in turn, are expected to impact the knowledge to others to utilise their acquired skills in relevant areas to make meaningful impact on the development needs of our dear nation, Nigeria,” Wahab said.

The provost noted also that the security surveillance is 24/7 by the college-engaged security men including the Close Circuit Television(CCTv) and cameras to detect any criminally minded-persons

“It would be appreciated if you can report anyone with suspicious activities in the college.  Please note that security is the work of everyone and don’t join anyone who is a security risk to your stay in the college or outside the college,” the provost said.
