Beans (Legumes) and all food products from beans have always been associated with farting due to their gas producing activities because they contain unabsorbed short-chain carbohydrates called galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS) and fructans.
These poorly absorbed sugars are rapidly fermented by gut bacteria in the large bowel, resulting in gas. Some people are more susceptible to the gas production than others. As long as you continue eating beans, you will not be able to run away from farting.
A way to ameliorate this effect is to add some amount of gari to the beans or take some yoghurt before eating beans. You may also reserve eating beans until when you are alone. That way, you will avoid your current public embarrassment.
