Erica Nlewedim recently became the first ex-BBNaija house mate to be featured in the MTV Base reality TV series, ‘Inside Life’. She spoke to Friday Treat a few days ago, about what fans should expect from the show. Excerpts.
You are doing this for the first time, how does it feel to be setting the pace?
It feels very amazing, really and social media has been buzzing; so, there is a lot of pressure to make it happen.
What is your state of mind right now, are you afraid, anxiuos or nervous?
Being in front of the camera all the time is not so easy, I know MTV base has my back so I am not afraid.
What do you believe is the most important thing you are bringing to the screen this time? A lot of people are expecting drama you know…?
I will be bringing premium content, being my real self and bringing fans into my world. I want them to see me as I am, and I believe it will be very entertaining.
What would you say is the most interesting part of you?
When I am with my friends and relaxing, that is when I am the most interesting.
What celebrity friends do we expect to see with you on the show?
I can’t give you hot gist now, you have to watch the show, but the people who have been publicly there for me, Denrele for example, has been there for me.
You said you are bringing your real self to the show and we have been seeing different sides to you, which one are we expecting to see; Erica the lover girl, entrepreneur?
The real Erica has different sides so you will see all the different sides; everything will be showcased, the lover girl, the star girl.
Not many TV stars are able to make it in the aspect of reality TV, but you seem the one, what will you attribute that to, you are always prepared or you come alive with camera?
People love those who don’t fake it, what makes people fall in love with me is I am very real, I don’t pretend, I am my real self.
How do you intend to handle the negative sides of the show as you said social media is buzzing?
I don’t intend to see any negative side.
