Failing factors in today’s marriage(1)

Published by

THE high rate of failure in marriage today should not be a thing of much surprise to those who understand the principle of love and respect in marriage.

The success of a marriage depends on the level of love and respect in the marriage. When a marriage attains a high level of love and respect, the level of its success becomes high  and vice versa.

Today, the changing financial role of husband and wife has eroded on the principle of love and respect. These days, a lot of wives are fast becoming the bread winner in the marriage. They are practically paying the bills, while the husbands have taken the back seat in that aspect of the marriage.

For the principle of love and respect to work perfectly, the husbands will have to be the bread winner. This is because the principle demands that the wife must respect her husband, while the husband must love the wife. But how easy is it for this to play out in today’sMarriage where wives have become majorly the bread winner is a food for thought. Or is it not a saying that he who pays the piper dictates the tune?

When this is the case in today’sMarriage, wives find it difficult to respect their husbands, while husbands also find it difficult to Love. The resultant effect is the “ yam pepper, scatter scatter” that has bedeviled many marriages today. Things therefore are falling apart in marriage, and the centre can not hold. That is whymarriages are crashing like pack of cards.

Next edition,we look at the solution, along side how couples naturally break the love and respect principle in such scenario inmarriage.
