The Seriki Hausawa of Ibala Ijesa community in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, Alhaji Bello Adamu Ilela, has called on Governor Gboyega Oyetola to extend dividends of democracy to his host-community, saying doing so will enable the state government to generate more revenue from Ibala-Ijesa.
The Seriki Hausawa, in a press statement made avaiIable to newsmen on Wednesday, said the entire Ijesa is in urgent need of good roads network from Ilesa to Ibala linking Ido-Oko and other surrounding communities.
He said, “Other social amenities needed in the community include motorised boreholes to serve the larger population of the community, waste container so as to ensure clean environment, stable electricity supply, of police post to provide security for lives and properties, construction of drainages to prevent erosion, among others.”
He commended Oba Ambassador Ariyo for piloting the affairs of Ibala-Ijesa since he ascended the throne of his forebears and prayed that God will continue to give him the wisdom to rule the community successfully.
In a related development, the Obalora of Ido-Oko Ijesa, Chief Femi Aluko and the Looyin of Ido-Oko, Chief Adedosu Komolafe, have urged the federal and state governments to assist farmers with loan facilities.
They noted that provision of loan would enable farmers to produce food in large quantities for the people of Osun State and beyond.
