Homelessness is on the rise in Nigeria and around the African continent, International Housing Finance Specialist, Mr Kunle Faleti, has raised the alarm.
For this reason, he has charged policymakers, operators and stakeholders in Nigeria’s housing finance, building and construction industries to always remember that home ownership by the people should not be taken for granted.
“Policymakers, operators and stakeholders in Nigeria’s housing finance, building and construction industries should be constantly reminded that having a place to call home is nothing to take for granted,” he said.
Faleti seized the occasion to celebrate individuals and organizations working tirelessly to eradicate the issue of chronic homelessness in their domains.
“It is for this reason that I celebrate individuals and organizations working tirelessly to eradicate the issue of chronic homelessness in their domains,” he said.
He took time out to congratulate Dr Abel Owotemu, on receiving the “Advocate for Change Award from Mr. Housing—Affordable Housing Advocacy.”
Recognizing for his unwavering commitment to expanding affordable housing, addressing homelessness and tackling student housing crisis in Africa, he pointed out that Abel’s noticeable leadership has continued to make a lasting impact on countless individuals, families and communities.
“From his successes in Nigeria to his new role in the African continent, his remarkable advocacy continues to drive meaningful change.
“Mr housing is creating a new force in affordable housing across Africa by recognizing and celebrating emerging executives in affordable housing,” Faleti said.
