Emmanuel TV: 12 years of changing lives, changing nations

Published by

WHEN his ministry started, very few could confidently say that from Ikotun Egbe, Lagos, one of the most sought-after clerics would reach out, through God’s power, to a troubled world. But with such dynamic message of Jesus Christ as the healer and only answer to man’s problems, Prophet T.B. Joshua, general overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), insisted repeatedly that distance is not a barrier to God’s mercy and grace.

With a burden to break the barrier of space and time, the birth of Emmanuel TV exactly a decade and two years ago became one of the biggest blessings that would ride the airwaves and satisfy the viewing pleasure of millions of people across the globe.

Emmanuel TV is an entirely Christian network established by the senior prophet of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, T.B. Joshua, with the singular aim to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to all corners of the world. According to the TV’s production team, “Emmanuel TV is a television station with one way and one job. The way is Jesus and the job is to talk about Him to others through words and deeds. Our motto is: Changing lives, changing nations and changing the world. God’s Word is the most effective instrument for change. The people hear and change. Nations hear and change. The world hears and changes. Emmanuel means God is with us! (Matthew 1:23). God keeps giving us plenty of evidence to believe in Him. The visionary behind Emmanuel TV is Jesus Christ who still empowers His disciples to change the world today. T.B. Joshua, Executive Producer of Emmanuel TV, is one of them and has given the channel for God’s service, to change lives, nations and the world.

“The mission of the TV includes showing the power, nature, ability, strength, life and character of God, bringing to you dynamic ministers of God who not only know their faith but show their faith, creating a spiritual atmosphere where God dwells in each home and getting people into Jesus and get them to stay there.

“We at Emmanuel TV believe in skill development. Jesus Christ took time to develop His disciples’ skills. All of our production team, including the cameramen, editors, directors, graphic designers, artists, presenters, sound engineers, etc., are all in-house evangelists who have developed their skills through working at The SCOAN and with Emmanuel TV.”

In the 12 years of the TV’s existence, some of the programmes brought to the homes of millions of viewers include The SCOAN Live Services, Standard For Life, God is Still Saying and The Roadmap- Reaching Out To A Troubled World. According to the producers, “As you watch The SCOAN Sunday LIVE Services, you will witness: Miraculous healings, powerful deliverances, practical teachings, touching testimonies, heart-rending reconciliations, revealing prophecies, and much more!” They further state that “Standard For Life is a series of sermons from T.B. Joshua. Following each sermon is practical demonstration of God’s power in action showing documented testimonies of lives transformed after receiving healing, deliverance or prophecy at The SCOAN. When you take God’s Word to heart and truly make it part of you, it will by its very nature change you.”

Remarkably, the testimonies that have continued to pour in have remained testaments to the veracity of God’s power in the life of the man in the synagogue. Some of these testimonies are here reproduced. Juth Prince in August 2016 had this to say: “My fiancee introduced me to Emmanuel TV in 2014. For 14 years, I had pursued a residency in Spain without success. I ministered the Morning Water before I re-submitted my documents. I also prayed with the Man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua online. After a lot of denials in the court, I eventually won the case. My paper was released. I also got a construction job. Thank you, Senior Prophet T.B. Joshua!”

22-year-old Charity Kaoma from Zambia shares her experience after watching the channel. “On July 14, 2016, I watched, on Emmanuel TV, a repeat broadcast of the service on Sunday, July 3, 2016. When I decided to go to bed, my sister asked me to wait for a while, suggesting we pray along with Prophet T.B. Joshua. As the Man of God began to pray, urging viewers to touch the screen of their television sets, I reached out my hand by faith and did accordingly. The Man of God said: “Everything you have eaten from the table of your enemy, begin to flush them out in the name of Jesus!” Immediately, I began to cough and spit. I fell to the floor. I felt a fire in my stomach. I was shouting, screaming and rolling on the floor. I couldn’t control myself. Since that experience, I have felt peace within.” Indeed, it has been twelve memorable years of impacting lives.
