Emir of Kano loses mother, Hajiya Maryam Ado Bayero

The mother of the emir of Kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero, Hajiya Maryam Ado Bayero is dead.

The late Maryam was a princess and elder sister to the present Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.

According to a palace source, Hajiya Maryam passed on early Saturday in Cairo Egypt after a protracted illness.

Also, late Hajiya Maryam is also the mother of another first-class chief, the emir of Bichi, Alh. Nasiru Ado Bayero.

However, the source disclosed that the arrangement is in top gear to bring the corpse for burial in Kano.
