Emergence of Olu of Warri, testimony of God’s will, says Gani Adams

Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, has congratulated the newly installed Olu of Warri kingdom, Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko, describing his emergence as a testimony of God’s will for the people of the kingdom.

Adams in his congratulatory message, on Friday, signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Aderemi, expressed joy that the Warri traditional institution rose above politics and sentiments to choose the Olu-designate.

“It is with great excitement that I congratulate the new Olu of Warri Kingdom, Prince Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko, on his emergence as the new king. History has been so kind to the people of Warri, having a historic bond and antecedents with the Yoruba and Benin people.

“It is also a thing of joy for me that the new monarch, actually fulfiled his destiny by ascending the stool of his forefathers. It is my prayer that God bless the new king with good health, peace of mind and sound mind so that his reign will bring about the expected peace, unity, rapid development and prosperity to the subjects and the Warri Kingdom,” the statement read.

Iba Adams, however, urged all the prominent sons and daughters of the Warri Kingdom, including chiefs and members of the traditional ruling council to support the new monarch in steering the affairs of the kingdom.

Prince Emiko,37, was unveiled as the 21st Olu-elect of Warri, following the announcement of the death of the 20th Olu, Ogiame Ikenwoli.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Political Science as well as a Master’s Degree in Management.
