Ahead of this year’s eid-el-kabir celebration, the Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja have arrested a notorious four-man ‘one chance’ robbery syndicate members in the metropolis.
This was contained in a statement made available to news men in Abuja on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Yusuf Mariam.
She explained that the gang members namely Uchenna Eleke, 27, Alex Akiti, 28, and Suleiman Nasir, 50 now in custody
mostly operated along Lugbe and Kubwa axis of the metropolis.
Mariam said that the suspects were arrested by detectives of the command’s Anti-Violent Crimes Section in the Wuse area during a routine patrol.
According to her, “the suspets who were identified by some victims confessed their involvement in the heinous crime.”
She pointed out that in addition, one Micah Ohah ‘m’ 38years was arrested alongside the other suspects who identified him as a receiver of the items they looted during their operations.
The PPRO said that the exhibits recovered includes from the suspets include one green colour Gulf3 reg no. GWA SJ and two mobile phones.
She added that efforts were in top gear to arrest the fleeing member of the syndicate while the arrested suspects would soon be arraigned upon the conclusion of the ongoing Investigations.
