Ebenezer Obey lauds Oba Tejuoso as new grand patron, African Church

Published by

Music legend, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, has lauded the Osile of Oke Ona Egba, Oba Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso, on his installation as the new grand patron of the African Church (Nigeria and Worldwide) as part of the activities marking the church’s 120th Founder’s Day anniversary.

The music legend-cum-evangelist, described the honour as well-deserved and a testament to the great impact of the noble king towards the development of gospel in Nigeria and the growth of the church over the years.

Obey, who is also the General Overseer of Decross Gospel Mission, congratulated the church for its steady growth in the last 120 years, commending its leadership for honouring Oba Tejuoso with the prestigious award, as an appreciation that the church was grateful for the king’s numerous contributions to the church’s unity and growth.

“I have known Oba Tejuoso to be a God-fearing king and a royal father who is committed to the things of God and evangelism. His contribution to the growth of the body of Christ is greatly felt in Ogun State and Nigeria at large. Even as a royal father, he conceived the vision of ‘Kings Day of Praise’, which gathers royal fathers home and abroad to praise the King of kings in the last 18 years.

“As the chairman of ‘Kings Day of Praise’, I know how passionate Oba Tejuoso is in doing the things of God and we are grateful for how God has been using him to promote the body of Christ.

“The church indeed will continue to be grateful for your unique contributions and leadership qualities, which have brought about the love of Christ and peaceful coexistence among the faithful. I pray that God will continue to strengthen and grant him the grace to serve God and promote the body of Christ,” he added.
