Defection: Oshiomhole writes Matawalle, says you are a man of courage, conscience, principles and honour

Elated with his recent defection from the the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the immediate past National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has decribed Zamfara State Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle as a man of courage, conscience, principles and honour.

In a personal letter to Matawalle and made available to journalists on Benin by his media aide, Mr. Victor Oshioke,  the former Edo State governor lionized the governor, writing that it takes a man of courage, conscience, principles and honour to make this long awaited move which not many politicians in Nigeria will have the audacity to undertake.

Oshiomhole added that he had for a long time looked forward to the day when the Zamfara governor will reunite with the APC, his original party,  so that his good works and impressive performance which the people of Zamfara state enjoy under his administration will be credited to the APC.

The ex-governor penned: “I am delighted that your coming to the APC with your legion of supporters is not only a boost for our great party in terms of numbers, but brings onboard our platform, a sound mind, accomplished administrator and proven performer who has won the admiration of the Zamfara people by virtue of your exceptional leadership.

“I have absolute confidence that all APC stakeholders in the state will welcome you with open arms and accord you the well earned respect that you richly deserve.”
