The decomposing body of a fast-rising Warri-based comedian has been found in his room apartment days after he was declared missing.
The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Onomuakpokpo Ogheneochukome, also known as Brakin Face, said to also be a social media influencer.
Before his sudden death, reports said he was billed to host his first show titled, ‘Outsyd with Brakin Face’ on November 27 in Warri, with some A-list artistes expected to perform.
Confirming the recovery of the corpse, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, the comedian was found dead in his bedroom, on Sunday, after being searched for since last Friday.
He said the corpse was discovered by the victim’s sister at his apartment at Otomiewo Street, Ekpan, in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, three days after a fruitless search.
He said the deceased was last seen, on Friday, October 1, while his mobile phones were unreachable, prompting friends and family members to set up a search party to unravel his whereabouts.
After his friends, colleagues and business associates could not ascertain his whereabouts, the team reverted to his locked apartment and broke in.
There his decomposing remains, said to be with no mark of injury, were found.
The remains have been deposited in a morgue while further investigations to unravel the mystery behind his death are ongoing according to the police image-maker.
