The Ogun State Governor, His Excellency Dapo Abiodun’s Aide, Mrs Ronke Soyombo has urged school proprietors to give security priority as kidnapping is on the increase in the country.
Soyombo, who is the current Special Adviser on Education to the Ogun State Governor, said that children are always at primal performance and experienced effective learning in a better-secured environment.
She stated this during the League of Muslim Schools Proprietors’ Worldwide’ Summit organised by the Lagos State Chapter of the Group held yesterday in Lagos.
Mrs Ronke also urged the proprietors not to allow parents into the school premises without adequate scrutiny and embrace the usage of CCTV Cameras.
“Every school has got to take security as the front burner agenda to make sure their schools are fully secured because if children are in a secured environment, they are bound to learn better.
“So, that is why we cannot take that for granted and put all the monies that the children have been fully paid.
“You should not allow parents to just have access to schools in order to prevent assailants from making an entrance. So, we need to look at how to use CCTV Cameras, She said.
The governor’s aide asked the school owners to embrace the 21st century as the children of the then are different from children of now with different languages.
Mrs Ronke explained that they should not expect to operate in the same manner they used to after the occurrence of the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking also, The National President of the Group, Alhaji Abdulwahid Obalakun stated that security is indispensable to attaining enduring success in the education business, with or without an exceptional marketing strategy, and enviable population.
Lending his voice, The Group’s Lagos State Chairman, Alhaji Robert Babatunde said that the mission of reawakening and strengthening the adaptability traits in the stakeholders can be achieved through unflinching cooperation among the association of school owners.
