COVID-19 is not a death sentence

For once, it pays to be African because the rate at which people are recovering from the Covid-19 virus in this part of the world is encouraging. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) data suggests that there is over 90 per cent recovery rate with geriatrics more at risks.

As it is, economic constraints and hardship now pose major threats to the peace, well being and survival of people and not Covid-19, the lockdown should be relaxed and normalcy restored. Let’s give it to the people that have shown enormous faith in the face of great despair, fear and paranoid even In the face of inconsistent guidelines by the World Health Organisation. Nature and faith has not let the people down.
