Following the death of a staff of National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in its Kano camp allegedly due to coronavirus attack, many corps members at the camp were now apprehensive and confused.
Many corps members who asked that their name not to be on print said they were confused over the development and do not know the next line of action to take.
It was gathered that the late NYSC staff was deployed from the NYSC headquarters to supervise the ongoing regimental orientation exercise in Kano.
However, a source who preferred anonymity speaking to newsmen said the victim (name withheld), who was earlier evacuated from the NYSC orientation camp located at Kusala Dam, a distance of about 95 kilometres to the ancient city of Kano, had allegedly tested positive for the infection.
It was further disclosed that the victim was moved to an isolation facility at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Konar Dawakin where he eventually passed on days later.
Efforts made to get the comment of the image-maker of the NYSC in Kano, Alhaji Aliu Ahmad, proved abortive
But a reliable source at the NYSC in Abuja disclosed that the NYSC management will soon issue an official reaction.
