Convention: Umurhohwo congratulates Ayu, other newly-elected PDP NWC members

A frontline aspirant for the Ughelli North Constituency 2 seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, Oke Umurhohwo, has congratulated Senator Iyorchia Ayu and members of the newly-elected National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on their emergence.

Umurhohwo who described the just concluded National Convention of the party as the foundation towards rescuing Nigeria, hailed leaders of the party, particularly the Convention Organising committee for the success of the exercise.

“With the unanimity of purpose shown at the just concluded National Convention, there is no question about the resolve of the PDP to get Nigeria back on track,” Umurhohwo noted in a statement, adding that “it is on the strength of this reality that I laud our leaders for successfully hosting a convention that signals to Nigerians that we are ready.

“I congratulate Senator Iyorchia Ayu on his emergence as the National Chairman of the PDP, Senator Ighoyota Amori, the Deputy National Organising Secretary, as well as other NWC members. As the outcome of the convention clearly showed, PDP is prepared to lead the charge to reclaim Nigeria from the abyss that APC ineptitude has brought it.

“Of much excitement is the election of 25 years old Mohammed Kadade as the National Youth Leader, which not only points to how much importance PDP regard young Nigerians but also its readiness to trust them with leadership responsibility,” he said.

Umurhohwo charged Nigerians to join PDP in its effort to fix the country from the ruins that APC failures had caused, noting that the only way for Nigeria to survive is to push out the APC in 2023.
