In a heartwarming display of compassion, Ghanaian dancer, Roland Frimpong Nyarko, widely known as ‘Champion Rolie,’ recently led an outreach program in Accra aimed at supporting street children in the area.
The initiative, organized by the newly established Champion Rolie Foundation, focused on providing clothing, food, and medical screenings to hundreds of vulnerable children.
The third outreach session of the programme, held at Kotobabi Wembley Park in Accra, saw the participation of numerous children who engaged in fun activities and received essential items such as stationery and clothing. The event also featured dance competitions, with winners receiving special packages from the foundation.
Champion Rolie, the CEO of the Champion Rolie Foundation, expressed that the initiative was inspired by a desire to give back to the less privileged in society. He mentioned being influenced by his mother’s charitable acts and felt compelled to emulate her generosity by reaching out to street children facing hardships.
The renowned dancer shared his vision of not only providing immediate support to street children but also identifying and nurturing talented individuals passionate about dancing. He expressed his commitment to grooming aspiring dancers and offering them opportunities to excel in the field.
The outreach program received support from various personalities, including Britain’s Got Talent finalist Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, known as Afronitaa, and social media sensation Official Starter. The DWP Academy dancing contingent, comprising Endurance Grand, Lisa Quam, Real Cesh, Demzy, and Nature, also participated in the event, adding energy and entertainment to the program.
Champion Rolie expressed his gratitude to all sponsors for their support and emphasized his dedication to expanding the foundation’s reach to benefit more children across the country. He highlighted the importance of collective efforts in making a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged individuals.
The presence of Afronitaa, Official Starter, and the DWP Academy dancers at the outreach program underscored the significance of collaboration across different sectors to support community causes. Their involvement helped raise awareness and provided encouragement to the children participating in the program.
The initiative exemplifies the power of individuals coming together to create meaningful change and uplift those in need. By leveraging their talents and influence, Champion Rolie and his collaborators demonstrated a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children in Accra.
The success of the outreach program serves as a reminder of the importance of community engagement and support for marginalized populations. Through acts of kindness and solidarity, individuals and organizations can contribute to building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
As the Champion Rolie Foundation continues its efforts to support street children and empower young talents in dancing, the impact of such initiatives extends beyond immediate assistance to fostering hope and opportunities for a brighter future for those in need.
