Citadel Views Estate delivers 205 units solar-powered homes

Published by

The management of Citadel Views Estate has successfully completed the handing over of the 2nd series of fully solar powered homes to its subscribers.

Speaking during the official handover and 2nd anniversary of Citadel Views Estate 2.0, the founder of the company, Dr Kennedy Okonkwo, disclosed that the “beauty of what we are doing is that climate change is real; carbon in our atmosphere is authentic.

According to him, “We cannot use our hands to destroy the earth that God gave us. The same God has also given us sunlight.”

He further underscored the essence of Citadel — to ensure that we harness the sun’s power.

In his words, the firm tapped into the sun following the outbreak of COVID-19, the Ukraine-Russian war, the energy crisis, and the surge in diesel prices.

“The income of the average Nigerian has not increased. Inflation is affecting everything, and all the estates have the same complaint.

“So we thought of looking inwards and finding out how to solve those problems. We thought it wise to execute this project,” the MD highlighted.

According to the Citadel Views Estate boss, the estate comprises 306 units. However, the first 205 units are ready for customers and subscribers.

He assured prospective subscribers that “We have partnered with reputable brands when it comes to solar inverters – European brands – to have the best quality that Nigerians deserve.

“There are speculations that the solar system is not durable. Our partner company has a five-year warranty. Inverter systems are scalable, and you enjoy more power supply.”
