Christians begin prayer walk, prayer protest across Nigeria Friday

Christians in different parts of the country will from Friday till next week stage prayer walks to ask for God’s intervention for a new Nigeria to emerge.

The prayer walks cum prayer protests will feature prayers for peace in the country, an end to police brutality and for government to appreciate human lives.

The non-denominational prayer walks will be staged in states like Lagos, Niger, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Kaduna, Kwara.

While in Ibadan, the prayer walk will begin at Liberty Stadium, on Friday, both Osogbo and Ile-Ife will host that of Osun state on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Christians will also converge on the main gate of the Redemption Camp along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, for the walk on Friday while the prayer walk will commence in Lagos from Rain Oil petrol station by Lekki-Ikoyi Link bridge.

The rallying point for the Niger State Christian Youth Prayer walk will be Mobile roundabout, Minna while the Ogbomoso prayer walk will commence from the front of the Baptist Theological Seminary on Saturday. Similar walks will subsequently hold in Ikorodu and Ilorin.
