Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, has recorded death of four persons while many were hospitalised following an outbreak of cholera.
However, the state government, through the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kunle Somorin, said the government was on top of the situation.
Somorin confirmed the death of four persons as a result of the epidemic.

He said: “We are on top of the unfortunate outbreak. Our epidemiologists are on the ground. Doctors, nurses and other categories of medical workers have been drafted to contain it.”
Nigerian Tribune learnt that areas like Kuto, Oke-Ijeun, Abule-Otun, Lafenwa and Idi-Aba were mostly affected by an outbreak.
It was the gathering that most houses in these areas were without toilets.
