Can I take milk at 70?

Published by

Compliments of the season to you doctor. I am a reader of your column. I am 70 years old. I do not take sugar in my tea but honey, no milk. Now I wish to take milk at my age. Please tell me which milk is good for me, powdered or tinned? Thanks.

Getting enough calcium to keep your bones healthy and strong is especially important as you age. Drinking milk is one way for people 50 years old or older to get enough calcium to support their bone health. Therefore, drinking milk in moderation at your age is good for you and it does not matter which type you take. If you have good refrigerating facilities, you can take the liquid type. However, if you are worried about regular electricity, the powdered type will be better for you.
