Can I still drive without a patella?

Published by
patella bone

I had an accident a few months ago where my right leg was injured and the patella bone broken. The broken patella was later removed through surgery. My question is whether or not I can still drive without the patella in my right leg?

It has been confirmed by medical experts that if your right knee is the operative side and you drive an automatic transmission vehicle, you may drive after about six weeks of removing the cast from your injured leg. However, it is important to regain adequate control of your quadrupeds muscles and be very confident in your ability to respond efficiently to all forms of muscle reflexes before attempting to drive.
