Buhari must not play politics with people’s lives —Oluwarohunbi

Published by

A cleric has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari  to use the next four years to work assiduously and display the integrity that is associated with his person.

The was made known in the Bishop’s Charge delivered at the third session of the 10th Synod with the  theme: Behold, We have found him,   by the Right Reverend Michael Adebayo Oluwarohunbi, at the St. James’ Church, Oke Odan, Yewa South Archdeaconry of the Diocese of Yewa, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion.

Oluwarohunbi also charged the president not to play politics with the lives of people, just as he should be wary of ‘predators’ at the corridor of Aso rock.

“The cabal, power brokers and the political elite are nursing inordinate ambitions for their selfish interests. We have no doubt that the name of the president can still be written in gold only if he concentrates on giving Nigerians good governance.

“We are not unmindful of the scarce resources and the numerous areas of the people’s lives which call for urgent attention, but with great determination and strong political will, Nigerians can still leave a sigh of relief,” he said.

“Therefore, we call on the Federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari to concentrate on projects and programmes that would quickly jump start the economy, create an enabling environment for business to thrive and that will vigorously galvanise investible funds outside the country without any strings attached, to complement efforts for our local investors,” he said.
