Oyo State High Court presided over by Justice Mashood Abbas has adjourned the suit in respect of local government administration before it till February 21, 2020.
The suit brought before the Court by the Oyo State Government is seeking to restrain members of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) from forcefully taking control of the councils pursuant to a letter by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami.

Oyo State Government and ALGON had at the last adjourned date on February 5 declared readiness to explore an out-of-court settlement, with the Court adjoining till February 12 to allow for that option.
On Wednesday, the parties further told the court that they were ready to further explore the option.
The Court lauded the parties for considering the option of an amicable settlement, urging them to exercise maturity while discussing the option of an amicable settlement.
