BREAKING: How Oyo APC leader was killed ― Police

Oyo State Police Command has revealed more details on how a leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), in Ona Ara Local Government of the state, Alhaji Babatunde Oreitan was killed in his house on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a statement made available to Tribune Online by the image-maker of the state Police Command, Gbenga Fadeyi, the late politician was killed with sharp objects in his house and was left to bleed to death.

According to Fadeyi, “Alhaji Babatunde Oreitan of Ona Ara constituency was attacked by unknown assailants in his house at Oremeji, Olorunsogo area of Ibadan, his right hand and right leg veins were slit opened with sharp objects and left to bleed to death.

“The killers are not gunmen. They did not carry arms, but only sharp objects, preferably, blade to slit his veins opened.”

“The Commissioner of Police visited the scene for on the spot assessment and had directed immediate Investigation into the dastardly killing.”

Fadeyi added that the “Police operatives are on the trail of the assailants for arrest and prosecution.”

The remains of the late politician, it was gathered will be committed to Mother Earth this morning.
