Hauwa Indimi, the daughter of Nigerian billionaire businessman Mohammed Indimi, recently joined the chorus of voices lamenting the high cost of living in the country.
Despite her privileged background, Hauwa expressed her frustration over the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities.
In a post on her official Instagram page, the socialite shared her dismay after her domestic staff purchased a small basket of tomatoes for a staggering N8,000. The exorbitant price shocked Hauwa, prompting her to express her discontent online.
Accompanying her post was a photo revealing the meagre portion of tomatoes acquired for the exorbitant amount.
Hauwa’s outcry quickly gained traction on social media, generating a wave of mixed reactions from Nigerians who resonated with her predicament.
Hauwa conveyed her dissatisfaction with a concise caption accompanying the photo, stating, “I sent my people to the market as of yesterday, this is N8k tomatoes. Still not over it.”
