Bayelsa Police nab suspected armed robbers, recover two locally made pistols, five cartridges

Following a tip-off by a community leader, Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping unit of Bayelsa State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has arrested a suspected armed robber, Abraham Kalizibe ‘m’ 34 years, who is a native of Etegwe Community, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, the suspect is said to be a member of a notorious armed robbery gang terrorising, Yenagoa and its environs.

The statement further said “upon interrogation, the suspect, confessed to series of armed robbery operations and led police detectives to the armed robbery gang’s armourer one Abadi Prosper ‘m’ 18 years, where two locally made pistol and five cartridges were recovered.

“The Suspects are undergoing interrogation and will soon be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation.”
