Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has declared that only justice, equity and fairness can solve the myriad of problems facing the country presently.
The governor was speaking when one of the many political pressure groups agitating for a Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir 2023 presidency, ‘Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Vanguard’ (BAM-V) Sunday evening in Bauchi presented an interim report on its one-year activities of the group’s calling on Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed to run for the 2023 presidential election to him.
The governor observed that, to solve the problems of Nigeria, there is a need for all to join hands by ensuring justice and equity saying that he was encouraged with the number of people the group visited because of their calibre and pedigree in the nation’s politics.
The governor who was overwhelmed with the support of the top political leaders to the aspirations of the group in his favour emphasized the need for Nigerians to eschew nepotism, ethnic and religious differences for the country to be better united.
Bala Mohammed also said, “I am surprised with the amount of support, love, high expectations and personal commitment of the Nigerian youth for seeing hope and victory in me. I must appreciate this group for embarking on advocacy for me with people of like minds and members of the group who can easily turn round the fortunate of Nigeria.”
While presenting the interim report to the governor at the Ramat House, Director General of the group, Comrade Jibo alongside the Chairman of the Board of Trustees led other members of the forum to tell the governor that the course is a noble one.
Comrade Jibo said that the group recorded a lot of successes in the one-year activities, hoping that, Nigerian populace will continue to identify with the governor’s sterling leadership qualities and a deep sense of patriotism.
He said, “Your Excellency, we are here to formally present to you our interim report covering the period between January 2020 to June 2021, I am short of words to describe how smooth and encouraging the journey has been so far.”
The Director-General, therefore, reiterated the group’s unwavering determination and commitment towards the actualization of the aspiration for Governor Bala Mohammed to run for the 2023 presidential election.
“Your Excellency, in this movement, we are working with 109 various organizations and we are happy to report you to that, we have received positive support and solidarity in favour of you in all the palaces we visited,” he said.
He declared that it has been a journey so far so good considering the acceptability of the agitation by most Nigerians who are agitating for a paradigm shift from what the political situation is present.
Amongst the members of the group are former Deputy Governor, legislators and serving political appointees from Within the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.
It could be recalled that recently two other youth political groups, namely the Northern Youth Leaders Forum and the Niger Delta Youth Group also presented letters of endorsement to Governor Bala Mohammed to run for the 2023 presidential election.
