Published by

Bandits on Tuesday released a video of a pregnant student abducted alongside 38 other students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State.

The four-minute video shows the bandits speaking in Hausa and Fulfide at an unknown location directing one of the students to come forward and speak to the camera.

Also in the video, the pregnant student addressed as Hajiya was seen pleading with their parents to rescue them.

She said: “We are appealing to our parents to help us, we are tired and there is no food.

“They should do their best to get us out of this place. We have spent 47 days, almost all of us are ill and there is no food. We sleep in the open even when it rains.”

The bandits also introduced the wife of a Naval officer who was abducted from her home in Tirkania-Agwa, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State to speak in the video.

The victim, who said her husband works in Warri, Delta State, pleaded with the Federal Government to come to their rescue.

According to her, the bandits had earlier requested for N30million for their release.

Recall that between April 5 and April 8, the bandits released 10 of the abducted students, leaving 29 of the students with their abductors.

A parent of one of the students had said the bandits have earlier demanded N500m ransom but now they have reduce the ransom to N300m.
