Nigeria’s foremost mobile phones, accessories, and televisions brand, Itel, has donated mobile libraries, text & story books, bags, food items and other educational materials to three primary schools in Lagos State as part of its Back To School project.
Over 500 children of the schools were given the items at separate events which had ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Nengi Hampson, Itel staff, volunteers and teachers from the three schools in attendance.
Itel said that the donated items will aid the learning efforts of these children, adding that it strongly believes “children are the future of society and should be treated with care and love.”
“We have always had a soft spot for children at itel. And with our Love Always On CSR initiative, we are especially dedicated to creating opportunities for them and supporting their dreams.
One of the teachers at the event said: “This is beyond what we expected. For itel to do something like this for three schools in one day, we are thankful.”
Itel further noted that the items will offer a relief for parents who understand the value and importance of education, particularly as children return to school this September.
