Babatunde Ojobaro storms Lagos with ‘Olúrónbí the musical’ this weekend

After a successful run of ‘Olúrónbí the musical’ in Ibadan, Oyo State, Babatunde Ojobaro also known as Mister Rain, founder of Theatre Hub Africa (THA), heads to Lagos with the musical production.

Laced with beautiful music, breathtaking poetry, artistic dance, aesthetics in scenery, ‘Olúrónbí the musical’ has been designed as a total theatre production that not only excites the audience but also promotes the values of humanity and uphold the Yoruba culture and by extension the Nigerian and African culture which by all means are beautiful cultures.

Theatre Hub Africa in partnership with a leading theatre production company in Nigeria, Live Theatre Lagos, have promised fans and lovers of theatre that the experience would be magical and change perspectives about culture, theatre and arts forever.

The musical production which is on a South-West tour, has enjoyed support from corporate brands and its lead sponsor, FarmKonnect Agribusiness Nigeria limited, a social agribusiness enterprise that is committed to promoting an inclusive participation in sustainable agricultural development in Africa has championed the ‘Olurnbi the musical’ campaign.

According to a statement from the management of company, “Beyond promoting sustainable food production and consumption, FarmKonnect has a keen interest in pushing the frontiers of knowledge of African culture and telling our unique African stories”, it said.

According to Ojobaro, the event, scheduled for this Sunday at the Glover Memorial Hall, Marina, Lagos, will mesmerise the audience with its original compositions.
