At 60, I have fulfilled my desire to wear earrings —RMD

veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, who is famous as RMD will be clocking 60 years old very soon and is leaving no stone unturned to mark his three scores in style. But beyond the celebrations, the famous actor is relishing the fulfillment of his long time desire to wear earrings.

With 60 almost in the bag,  the celebrated actor who was a commissioner in Delta State, disclosed that he could not have wished for a better time than now to rock his earrings, saying that he has always wanted to wear them to know what it feels like.

Ahead of the big day, the actor said he fancied the idea of donning earrings and would have had one when he turned 50 years a decade ago but his political appointment at that time didn’t permit him.

According to him, he has always wanted to wear earrings as he found them “cool” saying “I’ve always wanted to wear earrings for some time now. I personally think they are so cool if you find the right ones.”

He said further that “When I turned 50, I had threatened to wear one but I wasn’t too sure how the people of Delta would feel about an earring-wearing commissioner in the state, so I shelved the plan.”

While it is believed that RMD may have worn the earrings to promote a new movie project entitled ‘Legends’ which would parade popular actors and actresses including Nkem Owoh, Ini Edo, Kate Henshaw, among others, there are plans to celebrate the actor in a big way.

RMD had said that he would have a big 60th birthday celebration party as he would have broken the jinx that didn’t allow his parents to attain the age of 60 before they died.
